Mystic Masquerade

(until we have a presenting sponsor), will be hosting Rural Homeless Network’s 1st Annual Mystic Masquerade on Saturday, February 20th, 2020, at the Maroon Ridge in Jasper from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Bring your ball gowns and long tail tuxedo’s along with your special mask for this amazing gala. Dancing, dining, champagne, carriage rides, a silent auction and much more await you as you step into time and discover a magical place you’ll never forget.

Our goal is to raise awareness of our homeless Veterans, children and families in our area and how we can end Homelessness in our community. Did you know that Jasper County currently has 196 students that are homeless?  During our recent Point in Time Count, we discovered over 66 additional homeless individuals, (that we could track).

“They don’t need our pity.  They need our help.”

Through contributions and partnerships, we want to serve the homeless, including Veterans, youth and families with children. Plans are already underway to complete “Veterans Village” – a community of tiny homes with on-site services that provide housing stability, mentoring, case management and counseling. This provides the Veterans privacy, a sense of security and the ability to reintegrate into a loving environment. We want to lift them up!
