Father Ron Foshage

Born in St. Louis, Mo., Father Ron received a bachelor’s degree in History and Philosophy from Merrimack College in Massachusetts and a Licentiate Degree in Catholic Theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome, Italy.

He was ordained to the Roman Catholic priesthood in 1975 and taught in a Catholic High School Seminary in Belleville, Illinois for nine years. He also served in parishes in Illinois, Missouri, and Louisiana before becoming pastor for the Catholic communities in Jasper, Kirbyville, Lake Rayburn, Toledo Bend, Texas in 1985. He has recently taken on responsibilities for the Woodville parish as well!

He has served in the HOSTS program in Jasper schools for nine years and was one of the founders of Habitat for Humanity in Jasper which built three houses during its operation. He has served as Treasurer of the Jasper Ministerial Alliance for the past thirty-three years and serves as the Catholic Chaplain at Jasper Christus Memorial Hospital and the Ray Goodman Unit at the Texas Correctional facility
